User Guide Introduction

by streeter last modified 2007-03-30 03:53

ZEUS-MP is a 3D non-relativistic hydrodynamics code developed at the Laboratory for Computational Astrophysics (LCA)(University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign). The code is a modified parallel version of the legacy Zeus3D code, which is also developed at the LCA, using MPI library for massively parallel machines.
In this version (v1.0), ZEUS-MP can handle pure hydrodynamics, magneto-hydrodynamics, and self-gravity. In the coming version, radiative hydrodynamics as well as radiative heating and cooling function will be included.

This user guide briefly describes the compilation and the use of ZeusMP through the demonstration of running the test suite.
